This page is a plain summary. The privacy policy is the full legal text, and wins if the two ever differ.
What we keep
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Your account (email, name, sign-in details) | To run your account | While your account is active |
| Credits and payments (a record of top-ups and charges, plus limited card details from Stripe) | Receipts, accounting, fraud prevention | While active, then as the law requires |
| A summary of each diagnosis and any rating you gave | So you can look back | While your account is active |
| The detailed step-by-step log of each diagnosis | Troubleshooting | One year |
| Other diagnostic data, such as command output and AI usage logs | Running and improving the service | Deleted automatically, 90 days by default |
| Your notes (About you) | So Diagnosly can take them into account | Until you edit or delete them |
What you can see and change
- Your history, in the app and on the web. See Diagnosis history.
- Your notes. Edit or clear them any time under Settings, How Diagnosly talks to you. Don't put passwords or other secrets in them.
- Your profile and sign-in. On your account page.
Feedback you send
If you rate a diagnosis, we store the rating, the reason you picked and any note you wrote. We attach the conversation and the background service's log file only if you tick the box to share them. Personal details are masked first, and our team reads what you share to improve Diagnosly.
Saved fixes
When a diagnosis ends in a fix that you confirm worked, we may keep a short, cleaned-up summary of what was wrong and what fixed it, so your own account can find it if the problem returns. It's visible only to your account, never shared with other customers and never used to train AI models.
Deleting your account or your data
There isn't a delete button yet. To delete your account, or to ask for a copy of your data or a correction, email privacy@diagnosly.app from the address on your account. Deleting your account removes your saved fixes and notes too. We keep payment records as long as the law requires.
Before you ask us to delete your account:
- Ask us about any credits left on your balance first.
- If you want the app gone from your PC, uninstall it from Windows Apps settings as well.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to object to some uses of it, and to receive a copy. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Details are in the privacy policy.
