Signing in

Create your Diagnosly Personal account with Google, or with email and password, and sign in on the web and in the app.

You need an account before you can install or use Diagnosly Personal. Creating one is free. A new account has no credits, so it can't run a diagnosis until you add some.

Create your account

Go to diagnosly.app/signup and choose one of two ways.

Way What happens
Google Choose the Google button and approve. Your account is ready straight away. Diagnosly asks Google only for your email address and name.
Email and password Enter your email and a password of at least 10 characters. We email you a link. Your account is created when you open it, so check your inbox (and junk folder). The link works for 24 hours.

You never end up with two accounts for one email address. If you choose Google and already have an account with the same email address (for example one you made with email and password), Google signs you in to that account, with its PC and credits. If you choose email and password and already have an account, we email you a link to set a password on the one you have.

Signing up means you agree to the Terms of Service and privacy policy. With email and password you tick a box to say so. If the Terms change, the app asks you to agree to the new version before you carry on.

After you're in, a short Get started page walks you through installing the app and adding credits.

Signing in later

Use the same method each time at diagnosly.app/signin.

Forgot your password? Use Forgot password on the sign-in page. The link we email you works for one hour. If you signed up with Google there's no separate password: just use the Google button.

Signed up with Google and want a password too? Open your account page and choose Email me a setup link. It means you can still sign in if you ever lose access to your Google account.

Signing in to the app

The app signs in through your browser. If you're already signed in on the website, confirm Continue as your email and you're done. Choose Use a different account to sign the app in as someone else. The app keeps your sign-in in Windows Credential Manager and keeps you signed in until you sign out, so you don't need to sign in again each time. If you can't connect for a moment, the app shows Can't reach Diagnosly, stays signed in and reconnects by itself. Sign out from the account menu in the app. After updating from an older version of the app you'll be asked to sign in once more (see App updates).

The app and the website need to use the same account to see the same PC and credits.

Extra security

If you sign in with email and password, your account page lets you turn on two-step verification: signing in then also needs a code from an authenticator app, and you get recovery codes in case you lose the app. If you use Google, your sign-in is protected by your Google account's own security settings.

Your name and avatar

On your first visit you can add your first name and pick an avatar. Both are optional and you can change them later under Account on the website or Settings in the app. Diagnosly uses your first name when it talks to you.
