This page is for IT admins deploying the Diagnosly agent across a fleet in an Enterprise tenant. (Diagnosly Personal users: see Installing the Windows app.)
Easiest path: one-click install bundle
The dashboard can produce a per-tenant install bundle that wraps the binary, your install token and a setup.bat into a single ZIP.
- Install Agent → Generate install bundle.
- Download the
.zip. - Send it to the target machine, extract it, and right-click
setup.bat→ Run as administrator. - The script reads
agent.env, runs--setup, and the device appears on the Fleet page within about 60 seconds.
The token inside the bundle is single-use, expires in 24 hours, and is bound to the tenant that issued it, so generate a fresh bundle per device.
Install token and one-shot command
In the dashboard, go to Install Agent → Generate Install Token. Tokens are single-use and expire in 24 hours. Then, in an Administrator PowerShell on the target machine:
irm https://diagnosly.app/install.ps1 | iex
observer-core.exe --setup --token <INSTALL_TOKEN> --server https://api.diagnosly.app
The --setup flag does --register + --install-service + Start-Service in one go. The agent stores its credential at C:\ProgramData\diagnosly\device.json and the Windows Service diagnosly-agent starts automatically. Administrator rights are required. Within 30 seconds the device should appear on the Fleet page as online; if not, see Fleet troubleshooting.
Headless / silent install
For unattended deployment, combine install and register in a single command with --silent (or use --setup which does the same on a fresh machine):
# Silent install + register, no prompts
irm https://diagnosly.app/install.ps1 | iex
observer-core.exe --setup --token <INSTALL_TOKEN> --server https://api.diagnosly.app --silent
CLI flags
| Flag | Purpose |
|---|---|
--register |
Run registration flow only (does not start service) |
--token <TOKEN> |
One-time install token from the dashboard |
--server <URL> |
Gateway URL (default: https://api.diagnosly.app) |
--silent |
Suppress prompts; auto-start service on success |
--setup |
One-shot: register + install-service + start |
--install-service |
Install the Windows Service only |
--foreground |
Run in foreground (debug; not a service) |
Per-tenant install bundles (roadmap)
The dashboard will eventually generate a zip/MSI with the binary + pre-filled agent.env (tenant-specific server URL + one-time token) so customers double-click instead of pasting commands. See roadmap.md P3.
