Diagnosly Personal is pay-as-you-go. You buy credits up front and each diagnosis uses part of your balance. There is no subscription and nothing renews. To add credits, see Topping up.
What a credit is
One credit is worth about one US dollar. Your balance is the credits you've bought minus what your diagnoses have used. It shows in the app's top bar, on /billing and on your account page.
What a diagnosis costs
- Most diagnoses use a fraction of a credit. Simple questions cost less than long investigations.
- You pay for the work the AI actually did, as it does it. A call that fails on our side isn't charged.
- The quick read-only look at your PC at the start, and backups, are free.
- A diagnosis starts with half a credit and asks before it spends more. You can also set a daily limit. See Spending limits and checkpoints.
- Quick is the lightest Mode and Max goes deepest. See Running a diagnosis.
While a diagnosis runs, the status bar shows what it has used so far, for example 0.12 of 0.50 credits.
Having enough to start
A diagnosis only starts if your balance covers its first half credit. If it doesn't, the app tells you and the Modes you can't afford are greyed out.
Your balance colour
| Colour | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Green dot | Plenty of credits. |
| Amber | Under 5 credits. Time to top up. |
| Red | Zero. The app won't start new diagnoses until you top up. |
Your history of charges
Click the credits pill in the app for your six most recent entries and what you've used in the last 30 days. /billing lists every top-up and charge under Recent transactions, and Usage covers the last 30 days.
If your balance runs out
The app shows You're out of credits with a Top up credits button. Top up and carry on.
